You have the option of contacting your nearest AgriVenture Office for an application pack or you can apply using the forms which are available on this Website. At any point in the application process, please feel free to contact us, when we will be only too happy to help you with your application.
If you are completing the online Application Form you will need to follow these instructions:
On the applications forms menu, you will find all the forms that you will need. When you print them off, you will need to complete the form in your own handwriting, in black ink. If you are applying for an AgriVenture Plus program there is an extra section that you will need to complete.
Write autobiography clearly or you may type this on a separate page.
Obtain passport photographs (8 for one country programs, or 12 for a two country program). If you do not hold a valid passport, apply for one immediately. You must hold a current driver’s licence that is valid for the length of your program, as well as an International driver’s licence (contact your local vehicle branch), which requires two more passport photos and is only valid for 1 year.
Complete the Agreement Form
Arrange for two recent references (preferably one from your latest employer and one character/educational. The references should be sent in a sealed envelope to the person you arrange your interview with.
As part of the application process, we run assessment interviews to best match your requirements with our placements that are available. For the latest up to date list of our Interviewers and Program Prices, please request this information from the AgriVenture Office at canada@agriventure.com. Once you have received your interviewer list, you should arrange an interview with one of them. Please remember these people are volunteers and do our interviews for us in their spare time, so try to give them as much notice as possible of your need for an interview.
Send your application papers, autobiography, agreement form and references to your interviewer so that they can read them through before the interview. When you attend your interview, please take with you the passport photos, deposit cheque for $750.00 payable to HHK Travel, your passport and driving license.
Please Note: Applicants to Sweden and Australia send a COPY of passport only. All other applicants must send actual passport.
As soon as your interview has been completed, your application will be mailed to us, so please take with you a large stamped addressed envelope made out to our office address as follows: AgriVenture Servicing Office, 202A-300 Merganser Drive, Chestermere, Alberta, T1X 1L6
